I am heartbroken to read about another family suffering through the loss of a child and destined to a life of heartache. It is easy to say, I could never... when you havent. I am feeling blessed, not pious, that I have not suffered such a fate. Life is busy, lacks routine, and is often full of distractions. As the attached article reflects, this type of accident occurs in every demographic category. Unfortunately, intent can not be observed or measured. Thanks to the Susan Smiths of the world, it is left up to the courts to determine. Can this be prevented? Surely, a mechanism can be developed to detect a heartbeat in a vehicle that is in the process of being locked-something that would alert the driver (horn) and cause the vehicle to not lock unless the driver purposefully enabled the safety feature. So, all car manufactures, app developers, scientist, technology experts etc., figure this out! Become a hero. If that isnt enough motivation, Im sure it would be a very lucrative invention. #saveourkids #Ford #Chevrolet #Toyota #Apple #gatesfoundation
