I am honored to be a prepublication reader of Listening for God! by Steven David Scheffler. I only wish I had the time to stay at the computer and read it all at once. This was from chapter one, but I loved chapter two where Steve opened up about his life. Contact Steve on Facebook if you are interested in the book. But there is another reason why I personally believe that communicating with God the Father is of great important. Because LIFE, especially in our generation, is flat out a dangerous experience! And if you live long enough sooner or later you will encounter dangerous problems that will shake your soul to its very core. And if you are so fortunate an individual that you escape all the mishaps of life, it is unquestionably true that you are going to die one day. In spite of all the technical creations, scientific wonders, and medical discoveries of this twenty-first century experience we call life, it is still full of tragedy and sufferings that many times those man-made developments hold no answers for. No matter how hard you try you will one day encounter something that you will simply have no answers for and neither will family or friends! It is for that day alone that learning to hear from the Creator stands out far more important that becoming wealthy and successful as neither of those attributed goals will fix some of the problems you will face. No matter how much you possess or think you have in the way of safe guards the day of our ultimate demise will sooner or later show up! A clear channel to a living and experiential relationship to the Creator, God the One who made us, is your ONLY safe-guard to getting through that last enemy of the eternal realm which all will enter either to be permanently destroyed for all eternity or to be wonderfully blessed in the utopia of God’s endless care and love.
