In endorsing Gibson, Senator Udall notes that Gibson worked for many years as a machinist at Sandia National Laboratories where she was one of a few women pioneers in the male-dominated field. “Diane understands how important our National Labs are to Albuquerque’s economy. I look forward to working with her to support our Lab jobs and expand the city’s private economy as well.” Senator Udall said. Representative Lujan Grisham added: “Dianes background and experience make her the best candidate to represent District 7 and lead the fight to create jobs in Albuquerque. I look forward to working with Diane making District 7 a better place to live and raise a family.” In addition to a career at the Labs, Diane Gibson has been a volunteer advocate for seniors and a tax preparation professional.
