I am hoping it is okay to post this here. I am looking for some yarn I am thinking an Alpaca blend. A few years back one of my sons was dx with brain cancer as a result of surgery he lost motor control down his right side, went mute and could not walk, amongst other things. He started therapeutic riding lessons and bonded so tightly with this fellow in the picture. With in just a few lessons his gate improved and his torso loosened right up. When Joel began to speak again he had selective mutism and would speak to very few people, he began to talk to Odee (the horse) and from there other people. I truly believe that horse brought more healing than the medical community, he got Joel to do things that many therapists couldnt. Sadly his best buddy Odee passed away and Joel is rather heart broken I am wanting to make a stuffed horse for him resembling Odee, he was a Norwegian Fjord and I can not seem to find anything that comes close to matching his coat. It is either very yellow or just beige. If anyone has ever seen yarn in this colour, dyes their own etc. and could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thank you!!
