I am hoping you knowledgeable people out there may be able to help me with this photo. I am trying to trace where this photo was taken, could it be a pub, a church, a grand building?? It seems to have a marble surround to the doorway, plus something at the top, could they be grapes or some plasterwork of a face?? There is a tiled floor if you look carefully underneath the baby and another opening opposite with something in it ?a pram. The lady with the baby is my Great Grandma but I dont know the other lady. Could this be a Christening photo and if so, the baby could be my Nanna! It would have been taken between 1901 - 1916. They lived either Portwood, Lancashire hill area, or Hillgate to maybe narrow down the areas. Really hoping someone can shed some light on this building, or the other lady. Fingers crossed :-) apologies if youve seen this photo before on another site.
