I am in a position where I need to sell my Viva... wife hates it and has no desire to go in it at all. This conversation has been going on since the day I went to see it before buying it but I thought she would give in...she hasnt... Other cars have been approved so I am putting this up for sale as well as a kidney and 2 children.... ;-) To be fair I am restoring a classic caravan and this will struggle to tow it so need a bigger classic. 1972 Viva 1256 Deluxe 2 door with 64k miles totally standard, black interior. Never had a radio fitted, one owner 72- 2009 then used for a couple of years for shows then I got it after it was dry stored for 2 years. Booked in for MOT in a couple of days and will be sold with a full test, of course its tax exempt too. I Serviced it including oil and filter, coolant change, all brakes stripped cleaned and fluid changed, greased and sorted out a few bits. I stripped and repaired the heater and put new foam on the flaps. It had been preserved with oil being sprayed under the arches and it has worked but was starting to lift with a layer of dirt and dry out. I stripped it back and sprayed black wax under all the arches and only found a small area of rust in the end of the drivers wheel arch...previously unwelded or painted except drivers wing and door at some point in the past. It has a Chevette carb fitted as the old one was leaking, body is solid but has a lifetimes history in little marks and use..not scruffy and is presentable not a show winner just an honest car. Im about 20 mins north of Lincoln £2250 ono
