I am in the process of taking the gas out of my gas tank so I can replace the tank in my 71 Vette, it was about 8 gallons and I drained it the old fashion way, hose and my mouth, anyone know if inhaling gas fumes and drinking a little gas is good for you. Last time I do this, heading to the parts places online to find some sort of effective pump. Gas is really nasty. Had to suck several times as I changed the container. Was hoping to keep the gas tank but when I looked inside I did find some rust spots? How the Hell does metal rust in gas? I can only think the tank was empty for some time in the past!. Any ideas?
