I am looking at this months birthday cake for work and realize that I need a cake plate!! I am having to use a glass baking dish for this months cake because my new Bunt pan is larger than my normal one. The cake wouldnt fit well on my regular plates. I baked a scratch, lemon pound cake with a nice tart lemon, buttery glaze. I promise you the guys will fuss over whom gets the glaze that has dripped onto the plate and into the middle. They always do. They will rake that dish clean. ha, ha
