I am not against people giving credits to the Americans, - TopicsExpress

I am not against people giving credits to the Americans, Europeans, Chinese, etc. for the reduction in the Ebola cases in Liberia. What I am totally against is the fact that we have forgotten to congratulate our own Liberian healthcare workers who have been on the battlefield from the inception of the EVD in Liberia. It hurts me so much when people idolize foreigners with whom they cant identify with. Are we forgotten the immense contributions of our African brothers who are also helping to stop this plague? Have we forgotten about the Ugandan Doctor who has lost his life only to save us? What about the Doctors from the DRC? What about the other Liberians whose names I cant mention but are doing well or have done well to bring this thing to end??? Look, its time now that we start to appreciate us instead of America, China, etc. The Westerners are making us to believe that without them, we cant make it. Its a lie! One of the few Ebola outbreaks in Uganda was stopped by the Ugandan Doctors. Because no Americans, Europeans, Chinese, etc. were involved nobody heard of it. Its time now to start to rewrite our own stories that the whites have erased. I rest my case by saying kudos to the many Liberians and Africans who are directly involve with calming this EVD in LIB.
