I am not one to create novels on Facebook, and I certainly can - TopicsExpress

I am not one to create novels on Facebook, and I certainly can never do it as eloquently as Tina could, but here goes: As I look back on this year I found this song VERY helpful in expressing myself. As I listen to the words, I am thankful for our lives, our friendships and mostly our family: sons, daughters, in-laws, brothers, sister, cousins, nieces and nephews....... love you all so much. This past year has had its blessings and challenges. It has certainly tested my range of emotions. From learning that we were going to be twice blessed with 2 new grandchildren to the loss of not only my dear, dear friend, my person, Tina Metallo Gjerdset but also Scotts father, Erv Schneider. I am thankful for their presence in my life and I know they are watching over us and thankful for the time we spent with them too. We need to be joyful/thankful for that. This past July, our second grandson, beautiful Lukas, was born ... and very soon we will be greeting our second granddaughter; Cookie into the family. We are so blessed to have 5 wonderful children, 3 awesome son in laws and a beautiful daughter in law and how can I not mention our beautiful Lilly and precocious Joshua. My Oshkosh, what can I say... I have seen many wonderful, odd, and beautiful things there. Scott joined me and at first thought, this is the biggest cluster I have ever experienced, but he caught on and realized it was an organized cluster. The experiences and the extended family we gained is priceless. But it was time to re-think our priorities and spend more time with our families and ourselves and let the younger generation put their ideas into motion. We will probably think I wonder how its going?... and turn to each other and say... dont know, only know that we can sleep in and someone else is gonna park all them planes!!!. Scott and I have been also blessed with wonderful friendships we have within our Lakeland Corvette Club members. They have been a joy to ride with, talk with, share stories with and just hang out with.... I personally am thankful for my husband, Scott Schneider, he has shown me that in times of struggle, you plod forward, put one foot in front of the other, or as he would say, baby-steps... and do it with a do what you have to do attitude. I must say... I am proud of him going through all his struggles and coming out of it all doing what he knows he had to do keeping those effected in mind at all times. His dad is looking down, thankful, and saying Im proud of you Scott your doing a fine job! So as I close this diatribe, please listen to the words to this song they are so meaningful, and as Christmas approaches, be thankful for...... https://youtube/watch?v=f5nNckK5Tmc
