I am not one to preach my personal opinions but this got me fired - TopicsExpress

I am not one to preach my personal opinions but this got me fired up. Obviously this guy is fortunate enough to never have had to watch a loved one slowly suffer from a terminal disease. This poor girl is not only saving herself from inevitable suffering but is also saving her family from watching her widdle away to nothing and become someone that in no way epitomizes who she is as a person. While the people who fight cancer without suicide are, of course, extremely courageous, that doesnt make her decision any less courageous. She is choosing to die on her own terms, and does not want to put her family through trauma of their own by watching her slowly suffer in unbearable pain. And yes, dying slowly of cancer DOES take away some of your dignity. It takes a strong person to endure it, but when you no longer have control over your body, most people lose some of their dignity. If I am unfortunate enough to ever get stage 4 cancer, there is a point after treatment that this outcome wouldnt look too bad, considering the alternative. End rant
