I am offering my services as a tutor for students in elementary school through high school and in their GED. I have ample experience in tutoring and teaching concepts in algebra, geometry, and basic statistics. Further, in graduate school, I was hired as a writing consultant to help students through their papers required in a sociology class. My fee is $20 an hour. If we meet three times a week, we can do a flat rate of $50 a week. Personally, I get struggling with math and writing. Those were my absolute worst subjects in high school and I was convinced that I would never be able to get through college as a result. I was constantly struggling just to get a passing grade. When I got to college, I had a teacher take a much different approach in teaching me math and writing. I made a 102 in my college algebra class and now specialize in statistics and quantitative methodologies in my doctoral program. Further, I have written papers that I have presented all around the country and have been published in academic journals. I was a teaching assistant for a junior level college course in social statistics and have tutored graduate students through their comprehensive exams. I am convinced that learning math and writing is only a matter of shifting the way we think about the subjects. I would like to help you or your child do that.
