I am pleased to announce that Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas will be the official host site for the 2014 Lorenzo de Zavala Youth Legislative Session. Thanks to the leadership of TLUs Vice President for Student Enrollment, Tom Oliver, the Texas program will remain in the Central Texas area for the foreseeable future after one year at U.T. and over 30 years at Southwestern University. According to Oliver, Texas Lutheran University and the National Hispanic Institute share a common vision that makes working together a great partnership. He has been a s long time supporter of NHI since his undergraduate studies and has participated in a number of volunteer and professional roles. States founder and president of the National Hispanic Institute, Ernesto Nieto, The privacy of Texas Lutheran University and its spacious campus makes an excellent setting to train our young people. What makes for a real partnership is the value that TLU places on our work and the willingness of the institutions leadership to share their resources to further our mission.
