I am pleased to announce that former Attorney General Ed Meese, former Congressman and Ambassador Tim Roemer and respected national security expert and Georgetown University Professor Bruce Hoffman have been appointed to serve on a commission I authored that will conduct an independent external review of the FBI’s implementation of the recommendations from the 9/11 Commission as well as consider how the bureau is addressing the evolving threat of terrorism today. This independent external review will help us keep our eye on the ball, especially in light the number of domestic radicalization cases over the last several years.
