I am posting this again due to the many new friends on Mochas page. I know its long and for many of you a repeat but please read as it answers many of the common questions I receive often. Thanks! Welcome to all my new friends!!! Thank you to everyone whos been sharing my page! Just an FYI.....I will be at Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph, NJ for two and a half years in sept. I have a very special friend, Aunt Michelle, who is like a mom to me and has been taking me out of the kennel and spending time with me since the very beginning when I was really scared. You see, I was thrown from a moving vehicle when I was a pup so life has not been kind to me and I wound up at my rescue group. Aunt Michelle saw something special in me that others didnt see at first because I would act out, but only because I was scared. She taught me that there are loving and kind people in this world and she introduced me to other loving & kind people and I have made a few friends that take me out at the kennel. Ive come a long way!!!! I still need to meet people a few times before I am comfortable with them 100% but when I trust them, I give my whole heart and soul to that person! Im working on my doggy manners with other dogs because Im not used to them but have been doing well so far. If you have another dog, we can do a meet and greet and see if the match is right. No small children please, but older, respectful children are A-ok with me. Not sure about cats, Ive never been around one. All my info and my bio are under the about section and more information section of my page. If it doesnt answer your questions, please ask my Aunt Michelle, she knows me best. Also, my Aunt Michelle gets asked this all the time but no, she cannot foster or adopt me as she has a very dog aggressive dog at home that cannot share her with me and it wouldnt be ideal for all involved. While that makes Aunt Michelle very sad, she makes every attempt to make my life as happy and structured as possible. She gets me out of the kennel many times a week and brings me to her house (she puts her mean doggy away while Im there but cant do that permanently), she takes me to the park, she takes me to dog friendly hotels for sleepovers. She does whatever possible to get me out of that chaotic environment and I love her for that. As much as I love my Aunt Michelle, I am ready for my own mom or dad. I am ready for a home of my own where I can get love 24/7. While I appreciate what my kennel mommy does for me, I want someone in my life every day, to continue to show me that life is beautiful and people are loving and kind. I am ready! I have made such amazing progress over the years and while a lot of dogs that languish in shelters do not do well, I am flourishing and that is because of the love and attention I get from Aunt Michelle and the few other friends that come see me and take me out. BTW, I am 100% housebroken and know some basic commands, am very easy once we get to know each other and am quite the snuggler. In fact, Aunt Michelle says I am one of the most affectionate dogs shes ever worked with at the rescue. (And shes had quite a few pet projects in the 7 years shes been there). Sorry so long, just wanted you to have all the info on me. Please continue to share me and lets hope that within my 3600 friends, my fur-ever family is out there just waiting to take me home and love me forever. I promise to love you with all my heart and soul. Love, Mocha
