I am proud to have been associated with this new initiative to recognise the work being done by autistics or for autistics by their allies in New Zealand. In less than a week, Autism NZ will be gearing up for its Inaugural Awards Dinner. As part of the 2014 Conference, the dinner is designed to bring together people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families/whanau and professionals and recognise their success in our community. Congratulations to those who will be winners but also to those who were nominated and those who do the work and were not nominated this time around. Joanne
