I am putting this on especially for Al Myers David Carlson and Heather Carlson Payne but I honestly cant think of anyone not thoroughly enjoying it and learning allot from it. It is fascinating. I think this is important for the generation after ours and on down the line to really get where and who we were then and how it affects thought now. These principles are so ingrained into us that the events today are almost as incredulous to us as they would have been in 1950. Although in 1950 we can be sure the people of the USA would not take it. It just wouldnt happen thats all. We had more morality and ethics and demanded a heck of allot more of ourselves and others than they do today. I think everyone should get a good handle on WWII at least also and what it did. Americans banded together no questions asked. All for one and one for all. So those of us who have this in us and the kids today that were raised to believe in the same things are getting a bum deal. Things need to change and we need to prepare the generations ahead to do it by teaching them what an American should be. Starting here, this will give everyone a good idea and allot of fun watching us grow. Seeing how very little we wanted from life as compared to today it seems a shame people cram so much in and miss out on so many simple things like we loved and still love. And before us, our parents expected much less. Much much less and they were happy with much less. So watch it, have fun, learn a thing or two and know, if we could give all of you a taste of the freedom and security of believing in our country and the solidarity of our neighbors, we would. Nothing more fun than what we were allowed. All the time in the world to play and so little worries. My child got that childhood because I refused to have it any other way. Now her schools demanded more and she is a smart one and very financially and socially and every other way successful but when she said, I want to skip this or that set of lessons and just play with the kids on the street, she got it. She got it and her bike and the ice cream truck and giggles and camp outs and dress up and boys and girls safely playing in the street because the police who lived near us decided to install safety bumps and we all took turns watching our kids play and walk to school. So she will relate to some of this and that is the best gift I could ever give her, freedom and fun and perspective. These will be posted regularly on Baby Boomers- leave it to Boomer on FB but this is the first one. I am really having fun watching. I just finished another about the rise of pop culture. Love it!
