I am reading Henry Clouds book, called God will make a Way . It immediately grabbed my attention about how this man had an experience of excruciating leg pain as a child and no one knew what was going on or how to treat it. They even considered amputating the leg. The mother drove to a well known clinic in the area and knew without a doubt that God was telling her to stop and take him to New Orleans which was several hours away. She made a bed for him in the back seat and stepping out in faith drove there. The resident to see the boy was a new doctor with very little experience, so most of us would really start doubting as this point. However, this resident physician had just worked with some specialized physicians while she was in training, and it was on the very same ailment as this boy! The dr. began the treatment immediately for the necrosis in the hip. Do you really think these things are coincidental? This is the 3rd story I have heard this month from people on how God can answer those prayers for those who believe and place their trust in him. What about Jobs story you may ask? Most people who are struggling through seemingly hopeless situations dont want philosophy or theology as they want the reality of God. God makes a way even through death and suffering by revealing his presence. And like Job, we never know when, where or how he is going to show up but he will. The key is to reach out to God for help.When we do this, God has some pretty surprising ways of getting us the help we need-even when things look bleak. And even when the problem is our own making. -Blessings to all.
