I am receiving regular requests from my FB Friends as to what single book can I suggest as a laypersons introduction to quantum physics. In my humble opinion this has to be Quantum Enigma - Physics Encounters Consciousness by Professor Bruce Rosenblum and Dr. Fred Kuttner. Bruce is Professor of Physics at the University of California and Dr. Kuttner teaches physics at the same University. I find their book to be a fantastic introduction to the REAL mysteries of quantum mechanics written in an accessible and enjoyable style. The book really gets across the paradoxical nature of the quantum world and uses some effective analogies that explains such mysteries as superposition, entanglement and the observer-based model of reality. Without labouring the point too much Rosenblum and Kuttner, I am sure, really do understand the maths that support quantum mechanics and they are fascinated by the metaphysical implications of this most important area of human enquiry. I strongly advise any genuine searcher after truth to read this book in a systematic and precise way ... Maybe, as I have done, read the chapters two or three times ... And in doing so REALLY grasp Exactly what quantum mechanics tells us about the relationship between consciousness and reality. At all times keep in mind that the authors really do know what they are writing about. they are REAL scientists, unlike self-proclaimed protectors of science like James no-actual-qualifications-in-anything Randi. Indeed I am delighted to announce that the full book is available to read for free on-line at kbose.weebly/uploads/1/0/4/9/10492046/quantum_enigma__physics_encounters_consciousness.pdf. I strongly advise that any of my readers really keen to give themselves a grounding in REAL science to check this book out. And if you only have a restricted amount of time available read the following sections: Page 15 onwards regarding the parable of Neg Ahne Poc, page 43 about Coulombs Law and Field Theory, page 67 onwards regarding De Broglie and matter waves and, most importantly, the analogous discussion from pages 87 to 98. If you gave virtually no time at all then simply spend a few minutes reading pages 113 and 114 to understand why it is that materialist-reductionists have such difficulties with what certain results of experimental science is telling them about the real nature of the mind-matter interface (something that normally they use as a tool to arrogantly dismiss anomalous experiences) .... I plan to post this on both my Website and on the CTF Forum ... I am REALLY keen to have feedback on this from you guys ....
