I am retired! ---- NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!! At age 68 that is a word or term I still have considerable difficulty with! I remain on staff at Renovatus and am now an Associate Missions Representative. Because of continued financial allocations (cut backs) World Missions has had to further cut back on the number of full time Missions Reps. As an Associate Rep. it simply means I am still under appointment but I do not receive any financial compensation, will represent a smaller geographical area, and have a smaller travel budget. I love missions and am delighted to continue to serve in this area of ministry and work in my beautiful office at the Renovatus church about 20 hrs a week and travel to appointments! Sooooo technically I am retired in that I no longer am on payroll and now will live on SS and my retirement funds, BUT God, The Church and the Church of God have been good to me! I have been and am a blessed man!! But retire??--no just regroup and refocus! I already have 22 appointments between now and November and just need about 6 more to finish the year. Let me know if you want me to come-I AM READY! My idea of retirement is to do what my dear friend and mentor Dr. Bill Sheeks did--preach somewhere almost every week until just a few months before home going time ( his was at the age of 80)! Whatever the time, I am ready, but until He calls......! RDM
