I am sending this to railfan & techie friends; if ANYONE has any ideas that may help please let us know! We have an opportunity to maybe have a RAILCAM here at the Elkhorn Inn & Theatre! This is WONDERFUL news, BUT we need to boost our internet speed! According to Frontier, what we currently have (what were paying for...) is 7 Mgs down, and 1 Mgs up... But we think that in actuality its slower than that, especially during the day... Dan went to Shentel, as they also service this area, to see about switching our internet to them IF they can guarantee us faster internet, but so far they havent gotten back to us with a straight answer... & from what weve heard from people in our county who did switch, its not any faster than Frontier... IS THERE ANYWAY FOR US TO BOOST OUR INTERENT SPEED? Is there any thing we can buy or install? 800 Kbps is needed for the SD camera equipment, & HD cameras require 4Mbps - 6Mbps; there will (hopefully) be an audio feed, too. Thanks!
