I am sick and tired of critics hating on Philip Rivers. I am no San Diego Chargers fan, but I must (with great acclaim) say that Philip Rivers is playing some of the BEST football hes ever played in his career. Without a doubt hes en route to the Hall of Fame in the future and maybe even a playoff run to the Super Bowl with the Chargers. If youre still unsure about the credibility of Philip Rivers, I say watch his style of play. He stands in the pocket longer, senses pressure, utilizes one of the QUICKEST releases in the league, and doesnt give up. To me, I see him as this generations Dan Marino. Marino, believe it or not, was never able to claim a Super Bowl ring, but was one of the games most historic passers and improvised in and outside of the pocket. You know who else does that? Philip Rivers. You can have Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers in the spotlight all you want, but youre missing one of the leagues best QBs in Philip Rivers. Philip Rivers for MVP, ladies and gentleman.
