I am so disappointed that the Autism bill is having so much - TopicsExpress

I am so disappointed that the Autism bill is having so much trouble being passed in the house. I think that people would like to know about the corruption involved in blocking this in the house and that Rep John Meadows (Rules Chairman) works for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Rep Richard Smith who is the Insurance Chair has he will not pass an autism bill, and that Blue Cross Blue Shield has a headquarters in Smiths district. Talk about a conflict of interest! How sad is it that these legislators are putting the special interests of insurance companies ahead of the needs of Georgias children! It is also a waste of taxpayer money to deny these children access to early intervention because money spent early on makes a huge difference in life outcomes for these kids. A lifetime of intensive care costs a lot more than a few years of early intervention. Early intervention is the key in changing the course of Autism and Georgia legislators are pandering to special interests instead of helping the children. Shame on them!!!
