I am so excited. Nathan drank a glass of icy milk tonight in his cup and half a glass of water. He also tried a Dorito today and had 2 French fries. Big victories in Nathans World. We were able to get out for a walk today, first day with his AFOs on since Christmas. He really has not had a very good month but hoping things are getting back on track. He hated every moment of it, especially the wind. Finally, he has started to go into the bathroom and sit on the potty but only if the lid is down, long way to go on that still but a definite start. I have wondered if I will ever get him potty trained and eating but some days he surprises me. Hard to say how much control and acknowledgment of these things he has. Mom continues to worsen each day and my prayers for this to end go unanswered. This is horrible beyond words. I have seen enough sickness and death these past few years to last many lifetimes. Thankful, we made it home this past year and that we are not stuck in Durham right now. Hoping for some reinforcements this week to help with Nathan. I/we have many places and things to get done this week, more than we can do on our own. Next MRI will be the first week of March. I have an idea this week will be a wash for most everything.
