I am so excited to have the opportunity to be in Rome this summer, studying church history, seeing sights I have dreamed of since I was like 1, and serving Afghan and Iraqi refugees in the name of Christ. I know that the word blessed is tossed around and hashtagged pretty casually these days, but I seriously cannot wrap my head around how amazing and surreal it is that I get to partake in this blessing, and so many others, that I did nothing to deserve. And while I am overwhelmed by the abundance of these good things, good things are not the source of joy or peace. Praise the Lord, the one who provides and sustains in the good times and the bad. His love is all we can be sure of, and all we really need.
