I am so inspired by Gee Imaan Semmalar Anoop Kumar Akshay Pathak Vinay Bhat Battula Karthik Navayan Rupesh Kumar Sruthi Herbert Anu Ramdas Asha Kowtal Kuffir Nalgundwar James Michael Nilesh Kumar and many more intellectuals writing in English who pursued their systematic critique on the book Doctor and the Saint(which I just finished reading). Their questions on Power and Privilege and rebellion against brahminical appropriation of Ambedkar are very very important. That cannot be rubbed off as censorship or random accusations. I, as a shudra artist from Tamilnadu who keep questioning about appropriation of Dalit, feminist, queer ideals by Tamilnadus Navayana Kalachuvadu and Tamilnadus Anand Kannan, face the same kind of ostracisation and libel by literary and political writers and activists who are sold out to their monopoly and power play. Kalachuvadu the brahminical publication have succesfully shunned all independent literary spring movements like Nirapirikai by its strategic dividing of backward castes and dalits. I wish I translate the whole discourse on the Doctor and the Saint to Tamil and publish. But believe me, there are no journals where I could do that. Recently my simple critique of Kalachuvadu (Tamilnadus Navayana) in my Muse India Interview was censored in 24 hours as Kannan(Tamilnadus Anand) issued a lawyer notice to Muse India Editor. This is the fascism Kalachuvadu and its owner Kannan leashes on any criticism. Kannan employs policing techniques on questioning an artists sources of funding and the whole Tamil civil society starts picking up that ricepops leaving the main question behind. One should note that Kalachuvadu is funded by brahminical corporates Dinamalar and Sriram Chits but plays the cultural cop on any political discourse in Tamil. Kannan employs his own dalit and other secular Writers to do that and gains authentication.(Like how Ravikumar, who is the Dalit face of Navayana was used by Kalachuvadu to crush Nirapirikai) I am also amused by the whole scene of ugly silence about navayana issue in the midst of Tamil intellectuals and writers as they are busy checking out their images in their own mirrors. PS. Kalachuvadu Kannan is the publisher of Arundhati Roys works translated to Tamil. Both Anand and Ravikumar camp with Kalachuvadu Kannan in Tamil.
