I am so proud of my daughter Taya Im gonna brag a little bit. First of all, shes a 16 yr old girl who isnt constantly attached to her phone. We actually have to remind her to take it. But she always has a book with her. She reads so much it is hard to afford to keep her in books. (my son was the same way) It is just so great to see a kid appreciate books. And she has so much empathy and compassion for other people it is truly heart warming. A friend of hers actually just called a little bit ago. She wasnt here but he said he was having some personal/emotional problems and he said that Taya always calms him down. And she talked him out of punching a hole in a wall once. She is such a good person. I realized this since kindergarten. Some kids were making fun of a girl who had some problems. And Taya stood up for her and said How do you know shes not a nice person till you get to know her A lot of her friends have learning disorders or disabilities. She sees past that and sees and appreciates them for the people they are. And thankfully, she doesnt worry much about peer pressure or what other people think of her. Shes in the Color Guard and it is the best thing that ever happened for her. She proudly calls herself a marching band geek. Shes had a difficult life. Her Grandparents have had to help raise her because I have had many medical problems. Im not saying shes perfect. She has issues to deal with. But she is a sweetheart. And like I said, I am so proud of her. I Love You Taya.
