I am so proud of my husband Pastor Mark Erson and the many new members who have made ST Johns a place to be in the village. From the open gates and seating area to the constant services and liturgies, 12 Step Mtgs, Gay Mens Chorus and so much more, it has been tremendous watching the church community thrive and grow as a new center of religious and spirituality thrives and grows so quickly that volunteers are constantly needed to keep up with the rapidly increasing attendance at events . Weddings , funerals and a Pride week of programs that was a sensational success . Skeptical and frightened neighbors who have become allies and supporters S our ministry expands to the Homeless population. A church council that helps and is improving the property and making it ever more accessible to the handicapped. Sponsoring and housing two groups of college students two weeks out of each month who come and do volunteer at shelters and soup kitchens. Theatre, poetry, too many things to remember. A loving COMMUNITY that has sprouted up like lightning and continues to increase. Certainly we face many challenges , but we do so a a loving and close family, allowing us to grow closer as we tenderly take care of Gods church and spread the gospel led by my lifelong friend who puts others first while practicing great self care.( yeah, Im gushing by Im only touching on a fraction of what he does and Im being truthful ) PLEASE.
