I am so thankful for having this long weekend! I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with my husband and the boys (our basset hounds) on Thursday, and managed to stay completely unplugged the entire day, which was very much needed! But now its back to work and Im so happy to have finally finished a couple huge projects that were long overdue! And yesterday I drove up to Lake City for a photo session with a GORGEOUS couple and their sweet dog, and thoroughly enjoyed the pretty drive to and from. On the way to the shoot I drove past a beautiful old historic church from the 1800s (in South Lynchburg) and thought how I would love to stop there on the way back to take some pictures. I didnt know if Id have the light to do it by the time I headed home, but serendipitously I did and managed to spend about 15 minutes wandering around and snapping a few pictures just for fun, just for me. I love it when that happens. I cant remember the last time a photographic whimsical adventure like that took place. I need to make that happen more often! Im so thankful for the blessings in my life, for the people I have, for the job Im lucky to be in, and for the opportunities to continue along my photography journey! Happy Thanksgiving!!
