I am so upset and disappointed in the way Allstate Insurance has handled their part of the catastrophic disaster relief in Metro-Detroit. My entire basement had over a foot of raw sewage for more than 6 hours before it receded, and throughout the process multiple agents with the company have been utterly useless in making this situation any better. I was told nothing will be covered, including mitigation, cleaning/sanitizing, or even reimbursement for our personal property (despite having $100k coverage on our policy). I can understand if my policy didnt explicitly have flood coverage, however this disaster situation certainly merited some sort of empathy or even some human decency that I thought I was paying thousands of dollars a year for. This really shows a glaring example of the companys focus on their bottom line and complete and utter disregard for their policy holders. With no resolution or settlement on this issue, I will certainly be taking my business and dollars elsewhere. Thanks for nothing Allstate Headquarters and Jeff Zabrocki Allstate Insurance Agency
