I am sorry for going so long without an update. Several of you have been asking.. So here it is: Vanderbilt Hospital chose to agree to a short term laser trial and I was one of the recipients of the procedure. I feel very blessed to have been chosen for this experience (we have been praying for this for over a year now) and the results are astonishing!!! Immediately after surgery I was able to bend the toes on my left foot which as you all know (if you have been following me) was a huge barrier for me in my recovery phase. Dr Summitt felt like the laser was our only option since the steroid injections were not depleting the scar tissue because there was so much of it to go through. He was right.. This treatment has done wonders for the mobility of my left foot/toes and the appearance of it. They injected and shot laser beams into my right hand, left leg and left foot and filled the holes back in with steroid cream. I couldnt be more proud of the results!! Heres the best part: I get to do it AGAIN!!!!! (Another blessing) I am being allowed to come and have the treatment done a 2nd time and I pray the results are as good as they were the 1st time!! I can not express my gratitude to all of you for your continued prayers and thoughts! I enjoy SO MUCH meeting people for the first time and them telling me they prayed for me, sent me a card, a message, etc. It is such a blessing to meet you all in person!! I will ask that you continue to pray for me and the next procedure that everything will go as smoothly as before and have great outcomes also. Below are pics of my legs now and if you compare them to the pics of my last post you will see the huge improvement! Also attached is a quote that I ran across Friday, its perfect! No matter what happens in our lives, the only control we have over it is how we handle it. After everything I have been through, I truly believe if you study, read your bible, pray and handle the situations with courage, humor and grace you will live a much happier and blessed life.
