I am stating right here that I got this recipe out of my Hersheys 1934 Cookbook. It belongs to them and not me. Anyway. Chocolate Brownies Deluxe : Ingredients : Brownies : 1 stick butter, softened 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour 1/4 cup Hersheys Cocoa 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 cup Hersheys Syrup Ingredients : Fudge Brownie Frosting : 3 tablespoons butter, softened 3 tablespoons Hersheys Cocoa 1 cup powdered sugar 1-2 tablespoons milk 3/4 teaspoons vanilla extract Baking Directions : Brownies : Heat oven to 350 degrees F and wax a 13 x 9 x 2 in. baking pan. In a large bowl, mix butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add in flour, cocoa, baking soda, and syrup. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull away from the pan. Place on cooling rack, let cool, cut, and frost. Mixing Directions : Frosting : Throw all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix to the consistency that you desire.
