I am thankful every day for the gift of sight. I may not have a lot of it, but, its stable & I can function just fine. Abbey Vaughan had emergency surgery number 3 on her left eye last night to remove scar tissue that had developed & detached her retina once again. Please keep her in your prayers as she begins the healing process once again in our attempts to keep her vision. We are so thankful for Dr. Hejny & the amazing staff at St. Vincent Hospital & Northeast Wisconsin Retina Associates whos care & kindness has been nothing short of top notch. Abbey has a never give up attitude & has stayed positive through the whole process. She has been my hero & strength since the day she was born & will be forever & always. Words cannot even begin to express the love that I feel for her & Im enormously blessed to be her mom.
