I am thinking X-Men today. Back in the day the X-Men if you collected X-men comics you were collecting reprints. X-men was going the way of the chopping block at Marvel. A new writer, new Artist and some heroes nobody has ever scene, with the exception of Cyclops and Wolverine who was kind of laughed at in his first appearance, and boom you have a team that fanboys just cant get enough of. At the time X-men was the biggest thing Marvel had going for it. So as im saying Im thinking of the X-men today and it just seems to me that comic geeks and convention goers they are still popular today, but to the general population they are still somewhat unknown. Sure there are the movies, but they really dont give you what the heart of the X-men is. Why havent they achieved Spider-man, Hulk or even Superman status in the public. The X-men have proved they are here to stay (unless Marvel/Disney cut the titles to get film rights back) Your thoughts.
