I am upset with the edmonton journal... They did a story about the failures and how children have died in their care. For those who do not know me, i was adopted at age two along with my 5 year old sister.... We where removed from our birth parents due to my mom having a mental illness and my dad going to jail for fraud..... I was removed when i was a few months old. My point is that social services basically saved my life, and got me into a loving adoptive home... Yes their is some problems and the system is not perfect, but i wish the journal could have added that n some cases they do help.... I also know others who they have helped also... This makes me kind of sad.
