I am very disappointed. I had some suspicions that were confirmed today. I sent ear tag samples to Gene Check from sheep I bought last year from MVF. They were sold to me as being RR for scrapie. Both of the sheep came back today as QR. One is a ram that I paid premium price for. No one that I know of has been able to reach Eric for over a year. The sheep I got are fine enough animals, but apparently it was a case of buyer beware. What sparked my concern was the ewe pulled out an ear tag right in front of me & it said QR. No mistake there. I will be more thorough next time or go into it with no promises/expectations. Live & learn.
