I am very excited to have just arrived in Porto de Galinhas, Brazil, for the 21st Annual Brazilian Speech Society Congress and the 2nd Pan-Latin American/Iberian Congress. It will be the biggest conference on Myofunctional Therapy the the history of the specialty, with 4 days of presentations and hundreds of new research posters presented! I am proud to be here representing the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and working to build bridges in the field. Congratulations to legends in the field like Irene Marchesan (President of the Brazilian Speech SocietySociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia), Hilton Justino (Scientific Director), Esther Bianchini (who has the lecture hall named after her this year!
