I am wondering how many realize that there are more than just children crossing the border illegal every day. Here in California (at least in my area) it seems that the news reports only talk about the children, and as a result many in this state are misinformed about who are being brought into this country to be released. In this article about the city of Murrietta, CA, blocking the INS buses from entering the city, there is a man who states the following, I dont think people in that town should be against little kids, he said about the protesters in Murrieta. Were not talking about rapists. Were talking about human beings. How would they feel if it was their kids? that is a very common statement from people I speak with. Once I share with them the news stories that report on more than just the children, they seem shocked. This is what happens when you watch main stream media and not take the time to research stories further. I can only hope that after this, they will take the time to watch something more than the local stations and CNN. (ML)
