I am working on series of feather mohawks for some upcoming photography demos and photoshoots all of which will be for sale in November or December. These will be limited and all one of a kind and will not be remade. I know many of other headdress makers are going vegan and after much deliberation Ive decided against it. So I will use feathers on request. :-) However, I will not be using real fur tails or real fur. I prefer faux fur. I do love using lightweight vegan horns but I will still continue to use recycled antlers and horns by request. I want to continue to celebrate the life of the animal by using discarded animal products and natural sheds but only by request (if the item is mailed to me to use in the creation) I will not keep stock of it. But for the most part I will be using faux horns because they are so light weight. And when I do use feathers it will be only a few times a year as I am going to be trying out some new headdress making methods and working with some new mediums in 2015.
