I am worried about the MH370 loss. In this day and age, when we seem to be able to find out anything about any one here in this country, it seems hard to believe that an entire airliner with 240 people aboard could just disappear and nobody notice until the plane was supposed to be landing. Of course it didnt happen quite like that. We now know that this beacon was turned off at such-n-such a time, and that beacon was turned off at such-n-such a time, about twenty minutes later. The beacons on the engines, though, it turns out that they report in about every hour. And so now we know the airplane probably flew on for at least four hours (when we went to bed last night) or as many as eight hours (when we woke up this morning). Thats another issue I have with the investigation. So many things seem to be coming out in drips and drabs. A trickle of information here and there and it is common for what is widely viewed as Truth today will be revealed as wrong in the morning. The jet went on in a straight line. The jet turned. The jet turned and climbed and changed course several times. The jet didnt turn at all. The jet was seen on fire (theyre always on fire—seriously, you can find some Bubba somewhere who will go on TV and say he saw the airplane on fire that you just took your Gramma off of). I worry because today the story is that it went to at least 45,000 feet briefly. And then came back down. The only reason I can think of to do that would be to kill the passengers. Whoever was in charge of the airplane could have had air from the tank, while everyone in the back went to sleep and became Not His Problem. Maybe it was the most humane thing. I dunno. But now this morning they were saying the jet could have reached the middle east. What would anyone in the middle east want with a big ol empty jet airliner? They might want to fill it up with stuff and fly it into something. I worry.
