I arrived at Bangkok Suvarnnabhumi International Airport at 5 am. on Tuesday December 23. I sat next to a Chinese young man during my bus ride to Hua Hin, my home town. I offered to send him to his hotel by my taxi, and I gave him my phone number in case of any needed assistance. After a short while he called me, saying that he was in deep trouble. Within a big tourist group from China, he picked up a fellow travelers passport! I now realized that at least 2 tourists were in BIG troubles. I drove to a few places, and eventually helped him locate the other tourist who was involuntarily holding his passport. The ordeal ended after 3 pm when I collapsed to have my first meal in my hometown, Hua Hin. This incident made me miss all the people, Toastmasters and non toastmasters who have gone out of their way to help me, and to make a difference in my life during my 2 month travel in Australia. The photos may not show all of the faces, but they are related somehow to everyone. I may not be able to return your kindness in an immediate future, but at least I could make a difference to the lives of anyone I come across.
