I arrived back 15 mins ago after a long detour! what was particularly shocking was not nearly crashing five times as the van kept skidding... on the way .. neither was the drunken couple who made it so hard by continually pretending to sway into my equipment or screaming abuse when i was forced to halt my show until they ceased!!!! no .... it was getting stuck at 2am on a lonely country lane wind and snow swept... to have to push and dig our way up a hill... while being watched ( lights full on us as we struggled ) .... by a police car with a police officer inside who after 15 mins sat behind my vehicle drove by us and left us ... to continue manually pushing the van out of a snow drift on a hill... thank goodness friend Paul Brooks had come to my gig with me, because i would still be out there now i believe... in contrast when we again got stuck two young lorry drivers immediately got out to help us push through a second snow impasse... Backbone... moral fibre... decency ?! It certainly was not the police tonight!!!
