I asked Aunt Kathleen Henegar to write down a few words for me about Sis. Wanda. Her words brought tears to my eyes... such beautiful words for such a BEAUTIFUL woman. Heaven was made sweeter today at the passing of Sis. Wanda. She was a woman of a quiet spirit but of a strong faith in God. She knew who her God was and with a quiet faith trusted him not only for Salvation but trusted that he would be near with a constant presence upon what ever path he would lead. She stood beside Bro. Vernon as they traveled to hold revivals, praying that souls would be saved through his ministry. She stood beside him as a help meet as he pastored the Prim church for many years. Never did he have need to be ashamed of her example. She was a good example not only in dress but with a meek and quiet spirit she conducted herself in the fear of the Lord. She lead her children by example and with love to the path that will lead to Heaven. Here we take a stroll down memory lane as I am sure she has done many many times. Since Bro. Vernon has been gone just the memory of a walk to the chicken house together while the children played in the yard becomes a precious memory but now to walk on streets of gold with family has become a reality. To worship the Lord without the restraint of a aged body has become a reality. Well done my child.
