I attended a workshop today about getting youth out of the fast money, drug slinging, gang banging lifestyle. I was all in and digging it until the rant started about African American dads being absent and a woman cant raise a boy to be a man. Sounded like an excuse to me. All the men on the panel were formerly in the lifestyle and I guess couldnt become men with just a mother heading the household. Sadly, the initial comment came from a woman saying that women are emotional and when they cant pay a bill they cry, but when a man cant pay a bill, he goes out and gets it paid.
