I bawled my eyes out watching this only to inadvertently cause my cat, Thai, to feel the need to get up from the box he was laying on to come lay on my lap. In his own little attempt to help me stop crying, he purred and urged me to pet him, which, indeed, put a smile on my face, reminding me how much he knows he makes me happy...and then it hit me. Like a calming wave, I stopped feeling the urge to react with annoyance to all of the irritating oppositions I routinely receive, unsolicited, from others when they often feel the need to make fun of, argue against, or oppose in any way, my choice to spare the unnecessary sacrifice of another sentient life (not to be confused with the non sentient life of plants) in order to live. Instead, I felt more than willing, no, HONORED to embrace them as sort of a symbolic trade-off done through my actions of enduring those miniscule-by-comparision disturbances as a willing sacrifice for all those who were needlessly harmed and lost. “Kind diet, kind life.”
