I believe hes not oriented well about his rights by his counsel. The blood money can be raised. Legislators have pork barrels. The blood money is just a small penny for huge pork...Even the Vice President has a lot of it. The PRESIDENT has more of it. In addition, he has P5 MILLION DAILY SOCIAL FUND. What are those funds for? The blood money is an indemnity to deliver justice. Why dont these politicians give out? While it is heroic to donate, its not timely to give up knowing that the crime was done by ACCIDENT!!! Can an ACCIDENT BE EQUATED WITH LIFE WHEN AN AMOUNT HAS BEEN FIXED TO SETTLE JUSTICE? COMPANIES PERFORM THEIR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN ACTIVITIES, LIKE DONATING TO charity entities. The act of saving a life who has by accident killed someone is part of social responsibility as the convict is a Filipino with whom the sympathy of the Filipino nation goes....IS THIS NOT SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY??? ITS TIME FOR COMPANIES TO RE-ALIGN THEIR MINDSET ON THE CONCEPT AND RE-ENGINEER IDEAS TO HELP OFWs IN DISTRESS. LOTS OF OFWs HAVE BEEN EXECUTED ALREADY WHILE THEY WENT TO FOREIGN LANDS IN SEARCH OF BETTER LIVES FOR THEIR FAMILIES. AND LOOK, THE REMITTANCES THEY HAVE PAID!!! DOES THIS CASE NOT DESERVE TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY??? COME ON, COMPANIES AND GOVERNMENT!!!
