I believe life is all about expansion because when we expand we tend to look at the world from an higher center,This presents us with an open mind,but i think we lost the way I made an enquiry within myself and as a part of my enquiry i took a recap of my schooling where i was told India has 28 states but i was never told why India is divided into 28parts,i was said Sun rises in the east but was never told why cant it rise in the west? Then i moved a little forward to recollect my graduation days,i studied engineering with out being engineered,by the time i realized we are not suppose to study engineering but to do engineering i finished my course,We had a wonderful friend who came our way at end of each semester called the All in One ,it serviced us well to score distinctions In a nutshell,we were never asked to think,we only had to reproduce,you can do this from to Kg to Pg and be successful ,we were literally spoon feeded With the advent of high quality search engines the information we gather in the process of education is only at our finger tips,so the value of our education is completely lost,we never ask the right questions This is true even with our other beliefs,we lack proper understanding and tend to see the world as we are,our teachers (which includes our friends,parents,siblings) made us mechanical,they never promoted us to ask the right question,I will take an example to prove my above statement,in Hinduism Parwathy is seen as Prakrthi(nature),She is the milk feeding mother when she is Gowri and an attacking and explosive when she is the Kali This has lot of ecological significance,Parvathi is seen as The Prakarti(nature) and she nourishes living beings in the nature with her riches thats when she is the Gowri,a loving mother,Now when the nature is exploited and spoilt she becomes The Kali,This is something to be interpreted like this with respect to the modern science,The rich earth is good,it provides you enough to satisfy human needs but not human greed But when we exploit the nature,for an example if we are trimming the green cover,setting up more and more factories/industries as part of industrialization we then digging our own pit by puncturing the ozone layer and in process we are bidding a farewell to the loving Gowri,we are inviting Kali in form of Ultra Violet rays,Now lets put light in what we do,we during Parvathi/Durga Pooja to honour the loving mother The Prakrti and at the end of season we immerse the idol in a water body only to disturb the ecological balance by polluting the water,thus worshiping Gowri we are inviting Kali,We contradict our own beliefs because we dont ask the right questions,we have hardly have teachers who gave the right answers All i want to highlight is we are not exercised to think,we had no teachers(Also includes friends,family members etc) who enabled us to think, I believe education is an act of transforming an empty mind in to an open mind,its not an act to collect information but it should be an exercise to make our mind think so We in our Indian culture believe in a chain ,Matha-Pitha-Guru-Dev,Mother introduces us to father,father introduces us to the guru ,now guru has an uphill task because he should be someone who should introduce his student to the highest Therefore teachers in India is treated next to god,they are gateways to the highest Happy teachers day
