I bought some of this specialty sandpaper at the woodturners symposium this past summer. Its more of a mesh than a regular paper, and it is fuzzy on the back so it can be used with hook and loop backings. I have to say this is the most awesome sandpaper I have ever used. It keeps the grit for a super long time, and because the backing is mesh like, the sanding dust knocks out of the screen instead of clogging. Im in the process of retrofitting my disc sanders with hook and loop so that I can use this sandpaper instead of regular discs. Its not cheap - but it lasts so long that it is worth it.
