I brought April home yesterday afternoon, much earlier than I thought she should be but insurance thinks otherwise. Last night was a challenge for both of us. Thank goodness for Aprils mom for getting us a high rise for the toilet and chair for the shower. It has made bathing and other necessities much easier for her. In the middle of the night she was still awake and could not get comfortable in our bed so we moved her to the recliner in the living room and she was able to get a little rest. Tonight I will get the spare bedroom with a lower bed ready and we will try that approach. My heart aches for her having to go through all this but I know things will get better each day. With each challenge we learn a little more and laugh and cry together and our love get stronger and stronger. I have to admit I love that she is home but I constantly worry. It is just my way. My daughter Michelle is taking her to see the surgeon tomorrow to make sure all is well. I know April likes to keep her FB friends and family up to date on her recovery and for now she can not sit at the computer to do this. Love to all and keep us in your prayers.
