I built the chapel, you built the chapel, we built the chapel... He [God] built the chapel... Today beloved, what had the LORD built, what is He building, or what does He wants to see built in you and me? King Solomon, a man that knew a lot about building, about families, about doing things in the flesh and about seeing the Lord do a work said a lot of amazing statements under the leadership of the Holy Spirit in Psalm 127. Psalm 127 (NKJV) Laboring and Prospering with the Lord A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. 127 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate. There are a lot of amazing things in those verses! It is so clear we need the Lord in us, and the one doing the building. Here is a great clip from the last moments of the film Lilies of the field which is a line from the scripture showing the glory of God in contrast with the temporary beauty of humanity. The line He [God] built the chapel in the film is really the climax of the film, and the message, and is a good thought for us today! Lord bless you! Pastor Timothy R.
